Long time no post, I’m working on a few things. Namely patterns and the layout of the data. The key data points are the Judd / Pollock number, the coin type (cent, dime etc) and the year. What else is there? Estimated Mintage / Survival?

Do we group patterns by design and provide a table when the metals are different, but the design is the same?

I have the raw data, just want to “think out loud” on the layout and how people will search for the data.

How do we lay it out? My current layout does not take into consideration the large variances. For example: there’s a lot of data / research on the early judd patterns b/c of the historical significance, some of the common cent patterns, not so much.

Tables seem to be the “best way”, but I want to name the designer, so we can continue that theme just like the coins. The ability to search by designer and see the patterns, not just the regular issued coins is huge IMHO. or at least fun…

I’ve got a special project in the works. Too soon to talk about, but it’s on its way from Sharpie to software…..

Any comments on the information and layout would be greatly appreciated.
